stuck 4kq front brake caliper carrier

I prefer the torch method. I have found that after I have become bored with hauling away at unresponsive carrier bolts (including one occasion where I had to jump away smartish as I pulled the car off the jack!), giving the carrier area around the bolt a good roasting with a blow torch makes all the difference. Obviously be careful to keep the heat away from rubber parts e.g. CV boots and brake hoses.

Good luck
