Audi A3... why dont they import to US? (wasRe: Wheel size of a 2001 TTq?

Because the A3 is a premium hatchback and a premium hatchback market is
practically non-existent in the US. Plus, they sell the Golf here and the
two would be competing.  I think another reason is that the A3, when it was
introduced, did not fit the brand image that AOA was trying to establish
here. Now that their sales are up, they're more willing and able to take a
risk, which is why the new A3 is rumored to come here.
