how to get the switch apart???

Guys,
I have seen talk of dismantling the cruise control switch to clean the
contacts, but there is no specifics talked about.
My set button needs a hard push to get it to connect, and at night it is
really starting to bother the oncoming traffic.
I hope to get some input because I really don't want to break it.
