Subframe R&R ( stubborn bushing)The trick!

Continuous pressure in the center of the bushing well lubed with
K-Y jelly gets the job done. Support the subframe behind the bushing.
Clean the subframe area of any rust or dirt and completely lubricate both
surfaces. (the rubber bushing and the metal)
Should take about 750 to 1000 lbs. of continuous force. BTDT many times.
K-Y jelly washes off with water after the installation.
The moment I read this Email, I printed the advice. Got The KY jelly from
the bedside table, grabbed the printout and the
subframe.
Went to the same guy who tried it yesterday, followed Tom Chudzinski
directions, and
it was done in 10 minutes and paid $6.00.
The guy was absolutely amazed, but worried about his fingerprints on the
Jelly. I will have to tell my wife, "I can explain everything, its not what
you think" :>)
Much appreciate everyone's advice, Thanks
Martin.
