radical transmission surgery

I don't think it would be easy,
The tunnel in a manual is much smaller than an auto, one of the things that
get in the way when converting from auto to manual.
Axles are a different length.
The linkage could proably be reverse engineered but....
One of my conversions, a '90 100 auto to manual I had to make more clearance
for the exhaust because the axle flanges are a different height.
If the future ever brings that bad luck I'd try to borrow a transmission
before doing all that.
