2.7T and synthetic oil

I've run Mobil 1 in all my I5 turbos to date and never had a turbo
issue. Now, I have a 2.7T and want to run Mobil 1 in there as well.
I've read a bunch about people blowing turbos on these engines and have
been chalking it up to running hard without proper cool down after.
Could it also be that the regular oil cokes up more than synthetic? I've
always heard that synthetic doesn't break down as quickly as traditional
oils. Is coking from oil breakdown under extreme tempuratures in the
turbo bearing housing?
