Underhood heat

I have noticed the same thing on my car, so I plan on making a new hood with
Sport Quattro style venting louvers directly above the turbo area. I expect
to have it made by the end of the summer out of Fiberglass. Another
alternative is that many bodyshops have louver making machines that can add
them to anything at any size. I plan on having that done to my current stock
hood to use as the mold.

Regarding underhood heat in a type 44 turbo, has anyone considered a way to
reduce it. Some way to vent the air?
It seems like that is a lot of heat soak after you park.

And would there be a benefit to supplying engine air from another place
besides the engine compartment?

TIA
