OK, I'll level with you. We're looking for a new(er) car for my wife and
will designate the 1990 200 to the daughters for their car.

We've driven a '98 A4Q with 2.8L V6 and 5-speed with sports package.  Nice
car, but it's not big enough in the back seat.  With daughters 5'7" and
growing, the car is NOT big enough.  Haven't driven an A6 yet....and I'm not
sure we will.

But we HAVE driven a 1996 BMW 328i with the automatic. Frankly, we like the
way it drives better than the A4. The BMW has 85K miles on it and we can buy
it for $11,900 or possibly less.  new Continental tires, clean, very nice
indeed. Limited slip differential.  Dark green metallic, tan leather
interior.

If we buy it, we'll have a mixed household - one Audi, one BMW.

Does ANYone on the list happen to have a 328i or know them well?  I'd love
to correspond off-list and learn more about it.
