Hi Dave/Pat, the CFS is an 097 type trans, while the CLR is an 01N type
trans. I haven't heard of those being interchangeable in my experience. At
the least you'd need the matching trans ecu, and the corresponding need to
to check the pin outs to make sure it wouldn't harm anything to do the swap.
As I understand it, you need a CFS for your car. Why not go the route of
least resistance and return the incorrect trans and grab the right one? The
CLR is a rarer unit to begin with too.
