Consumers Prefer Diesels Over Hybrids.

This reaction from the auto makers is not unusual and in fact is true to
form. If
they don't have the technology already, and may have to do some work to
get it, then
of course the public must be convinced that it will be too expensive to
do. Personally I wish they would just accept the fact that we all want
more economical and cleaner autos and get on with the job of developing
them. Look at how they fought the early call for more efficient gas
engines, and now look at how good (Powerful and Reliable) the computer
controlled engines of today are.
Does anyone know if the current TDI meets the new goals of 2007?
