attached to its underside (I did this as per the directions). The back side 
of the Velcro was sticky and it stuck to the metal perfectly. The other piece 
of Velcro is attached to the top of the radar detector itself and the rest, 
as you know, is obvious. 

THE PROBLEM: The Velcro will not stay stuck to the unit. I've even tried 
sticking it back on with other kinds of sticky stuff, but the weight of the 
thing keeps making the Velcro peel off. I finally resorted to a rubberband 
(tack-city). Eventually it too gave up the fight. Unless someone helps me 
out, I'm going to have to resort to electrical tape (or driving slower)

...yikes.
