4kq drive shaft questions

Hello all
My 1986 4000 quattro has a bad vibration on the highway (just bought the car).
I checked underneath and the rubber hanger for the drive shaft bearing is
weak. Could this be the cause? I called the local dealer who is good to me and
they said they are not a dealer item but aftermarket is $350 cdn!!! (for the
rubber and bearing). Does this sound right?!? Would this be the problem or
could it be a cv joint or u joint. They felt tight and fine. Any help would be
great
