Intercooler options?

Hello list,
Right now in my turbo Quantum Syncro, I am using a stock 5kt intercooler mounted on the passenger side right in front of the engine. I am going to move the IC to in front of the radiator so I can put the front end back in and get rid of the hood pins. Anyway, I am thinking that as long as I am moving the intercooler I might as well get a better one since I am not restricted by size/shape much anymore.
So I am open to any suggestions for intercooling. Please name any and every intercooler you guys can. I am mostly interested in using an IC from pre '90 cars because I can get them very cheap but any suggestions are greatly appriciated. I am also considering water/alcohol injection for even cooler intake temps under full boost.
