Cracked Headlight Lens

I had upgraded my bulbs to H4 100/90W on Friday. I have a thin lens protector
applied.

This evening I noticed my drivers side lens cracked. There is no evidence that
an object hit it.

I had driven with 100/90 for months in the past without adverse effects.

Is this a fluke, or is the lens cracking an experience with the higher watt
bulbs?
