series", where us "normal, everyday people" on "normal everyday budgets" may
actually be able to get in and compete. But I still don't get the appeal of
the circular driving, and probably never will. I mean, when youget into your
car, you still must turn both right AND left, right? And don't you have to
shift gears (or your car with an autobox) once in a while? So, wouldn't it
be reasonable to assume, that automotive racing should mimic the real world
in order for it to be legit? Unless we are just racing for straight line
speed, such as Bonneville, or other drag-racing events, which certainly have
their justification - and IMHO more so than NASCAR.

There's one of the listers that takes his VW Passat Syncro to the drag
racing tracks, and from what I understand is actually pretty quick...

I wan't saying that you did say that, just that there might be some few that
would raise a huffuffle if we continued this "on-list", and I don't want to
end up like Phil & Scott, dividing the list into 2 camps, each accusing one
of them (Phil & Scott) of just WOB'ing, and slinging mud. That was never my
intention here.

Sorry!

Thank you!

Sorry again.

Shame on you! :-)

Still that qualifies as a wrenchhead. If you enjoy it, and occasionally
wrench on it, you're it! Yeah, sure, some might be BIGGER wrenchheads, but
you're still one, so there, for the records, you have my blessing to
consider yourself one!

You don't sound like Mom. I just think I might not have been clear, and
you're right on some of your "complaints" about my earlier post. However,
that wasn't what I was seeking complaints about, but rather the shameful way
in which Ferrari put a kabosh (sp?) on Barichello's chance for his 2'nd ever
GP victory, and screwed up the historybooks and the race, in the opinions of
many tifosi (of which I'm not one).
