You'll almost certainly not be able to mount the wheels with 225 tires.
If I remember correctly, unless you make some pretty wild adjustments to
the offset, the widest thing that will fit is a 215. These are darn
rare, so that pretty much leaves you with a 205/55 16...
I did this twice, with TSW Imolas and Borbet Type Es. Despite not being
steam-roller sized, turn-in, general handling and grip were noticeably
improved (no doubt also due to better rubber). There was a significant
amount of tram-lining, though.

Unless you're insane or live in Florida, stick with 16s :-)
