this is true, but I would buy that a little more if the bursts up to 150
degrees were shorter. I was staying at 150 for about 5 minutes or so..
which you would assume would be long enough to heat the coolant up since
the water and oil jackets are certainly close enough in the head and
elsewhere to quickly conduct heat between the two.....

I could try that. I think the first thing for me to do is obviously
tweak on my TPS settings harder to get rid of the problem at the
source.. then open up the lower grille area for better air flow and see
how my temps do.
If things are still hot I'd definately try an electric van of some
kind. switch it with one of those afterrun temp sensors mounted near
the cooler maybe?
