pentosin substitutes revisited - verrrrrry interesting

I use the Febi stuff. The "Febi" logo on the bottle has the word
"Bilstein" below it, so I believe that Febi is a Bilstein owned brand
and not a Pentosin owned brand.

The Febi/Bilstein stuff that I use is labeled as a Mineral base
hydraulic fluid, while the Pentosin CHF-11.S is advertised as a
Synthetic base hydraulic fluid. Both are advertised as being equivalent
to Audi G00200.

How could a mineral base fluid and a synthetic base fluid both be
equivalent to G00200? The Febi stuff is about $3/L less expensive than
the Pentosin. Both are made in Germany. Is it safe to have a mix of
the two in your system? I assume not since they are of differing
composition? The Febi stuff is very close to clear, just slightly
yellow. What does the Pentosin CHF 11.S look like? Any way to tell
which one is already in a given hydraulic system?
