Audi 200 brake MC vs. Audi V8 brake MC...

I was actually looking to replace the original cast iron brake servo, but these parts are NLA. So they tell you to upgrade to an aluminum brake servo, which is actually the same part now recommended for the V8's and I believe 100's and late 200's. You have to use an adapter to connect the new type of servo to the old m/c and you need to relocate one of the hydraulic pipes for the servo. So this must mean these parts are all interchangeable. I'd recommend just replacing both the brake servo and m/c, that way you have more of an upgrade and don't need to worry about the connector piece. Also aluminum looks a lot nicer than that rusty iron. I guess the only problem is the cost of the servo, but maybe you could just get a used one. I doubt that the servos go bad too often. Good luck.

Hi!

Nice to have the list back. :)

I was just wondering how much different the Audi V8 quattro's brake master
cylinder is compared to that on the Audi 200tq. Looking at ETKA and seeing
the numbers is a bit confusing. Seems the bore of the V8 brake MC is larger,
or are they actually identical?

Are these interchangable and anyone reckon there'd be some benefit in it
when fitting calipers with more pistons?

Thanks. :)

G.
