In regards to Power Bond sealing tape, I have used it a few times (on non-Audi 
cars) with success. It seems to last a long time although I wouldn't trust it 
longer than necessary. Probably a good thing to keep in the car for when things 
go at bad times. It is definitely better than duct tape for high heat 
applications.
