dash vent problems

two days ago I was driving my 1993 90csq across the country from northern 
minnesota to connecticut and the air stopped coming throught the central 
dash vents.  The defroster vents and lower vents work no problem in all 
modes, but nothing from any vents on the dash.  I looked in the archives 
with not too much luck.  I also pulled the codes and got 11.7 - central flap 
motor potentiometer.  Any clue on what this means or more importantly what 
the problem could be?  I pulled out the glove box and climate control to 
make sure that all connections were tight.  I haven't yet dug into trying to 
get any further behind the dash, because I am not sure what to look for. Is 
there another blower motor that drives the dash vents that could have gone 
bad or a flap that is stuck in position? Any help would be great as I am 
about to make a trip south to florida for the winter and AC through the 
defroster doesn't quite cut it.
