5KTQ Cam Timing Q? (long sorry)

Timmy,

Are you talking about the crankshaft pulley or the cam pulley?

You text says cam pulley, but if you're talking about the harmonic balancer 
the rubber piece sometimes moves the mark.

However, 170 degrees seems too much. The rubber might be shot.

If the valves at cyl 1 are closed, the flyingwheel is on the "0" mark, the 
cam is on the mark, and the distributor is pointing to the cyl 1 you are on 
the mark. BTDT last week.

BTW, my crankshaft pulley doesn't align either, but not for 170 degrees.
