tow hook or ring on back of 86 4kq?

I once fabricated a nice hitch for my former '86 4KQ, by welding a flat
hitch bar to a flat steel bar (about 1/2" x 2") that was bolted to the
rear-most control arm bolts, the a 'U'-shaped bracket was bolted to the
underside of the trunk pan just forward of the bumper cover and also welded
to the hitch bar. Worked very well, I pulled a 400# trailer and 450#
motorcycle from MD to NM twice with it. You might also check with Dalan
hitch company, they make many oddball hitches.

Has anyone installed a tow hook or ring on the rear of an 85-87 4kq? The
molded bumper cover makes it challenging.

Any ideas? I don't want to cut a hole in the bumper cover.
