5000TQ Oil seal

Hi,
I've heard about bearings being this way, but hadn't heard about seals being similar.
I'm picturing a seal like a rear main seal, but maybe the oil seal you need is more of an o-ring type of thing? If that's the case, then I can see how it could easily be described dimensionally.
When you get the size, please post back to the list with it. Sounds like it would be helpful.
I agree having the old part in hand is good, when they have the new one in stock to compare or when you pick it up or if they have a picture when you order.
I bought some kind of seal that I thought would be required for my clutch/tranny job on my 200q20v, I think it was described as a guide sleeve seal. But I couldn't find an old one or a place for the new one, so I don't know what it is for.
If you trust the part number that gets pulled up when you describe the car, on http://www.performancemotorcars.com , then there are dimensions given for the tranny seal. Here is what it reads:
"Drive Axle Seal
(45x60x8mm)
FT, Differential LT & RT
RR, Differential RT
(Unless noted, 2, Req) "
I guess it is similar to a rear main seal, in design. And able to be bought by dimension.
Hope that helps.
