4kq sputter update & cold idle probs

I've gotta say thanks to all that responded to the sputter problem with the
4kq.
After removing the im to remove and replace all five injectors, holders and
seals etc (don't even ask how hard it was to get 270k mi original injectors
out and please service the seals at least once every couple of years) I am
proud to say the sputter is gone and the idle is rock solid.
There is a new problem that occured at first start-up and is still
persistant. At cold start the car will only idle if I press on the gas
pedel. Acts as if there is no cold start assistance. Once warmed for a
moment it will hold idle and graduate to the 950rpm mark as it warms. No
varying rpm, just wants fuel.
Ideas?
