I dont know about the 1990 90q, but in my 86 4kq
all i did was swap the tack for the one w/ the digital display
get the computer button and its wirring harness, between
switch display speedo and input plug, and the other end
was behind driver side floor carpet.

3 things
1. tach
2. switch
3. small wire harness
