Maybe this is blasphemy, but perhaps the best way to launch a turbo
converted car would be to use Smller tires?  The stock 195/14 tires would
probably not bog the turbo motors motors as bad as sticky larger tires.
Just a little wheelspin to prevent bogging the motor and a 3-4000 rpm
launch, and then the all wheel drive would take care of the rest of the
run.  Just a suggestion.

Maybe drag racing is the one form of motorsport where weight transfer and
sticky pavement (traction compound) somewhat negates the traction
advantages of all wheel drive.  I have a friend with a 12.7 sec street
grand national, and his car does sub 2 sec 60 foot times on street tires
(not drag radials).
