slamming door turns on fan

The blower motor brushes are worn out, Cat. The impact jars them enough to
make contact with the commutator and start the motor. To verify, take a look
at the top brush on the motor. If the braided copper shunt wire is at the
bottom of the slot in the brush holder, the brushes are worn out.

Subject: slamming door turns on fan
My husband and I were talking about whether it is the blower motor or the
blower motor controller which is going out or something else.
Sometimes the fan for the AC or heat comes on shortly after I start then
engine . . . and sometime I have to hit a big bump or slam the passenger
door -
remote diagnosis ?
