Hey,
Im in the process of replacing a clutch in a 4kqcs. I am trying to remove the clutch slave cylinder and tranny linkage. My question is, do i really need to remove the tie rods from the steering column in order to proceed or should i just have to grit and bear it and some how figure out a way to get my skinny arms around the back of the back of the tranny and release the two and still not be impeaded by the presence of the steering column? I replaced a clutch in 85 cgt a few years back and totally do not recall having this been so tedious or tight. Any suggestions?

Thanks ahead of time
