HI all

Does that wierd front engine locator that runs from the front of the engine
to the front grille cross member actually do anything?

I want to remove it completely to make room for a FMIC and related piping.

Certainly on my vehicle there was no evidence on the rubber part that it had
touched the bracket in recent history. I am thinking about just removing it
and chopping the mating metalwork off the front cross member. And if needs
be I will put a mounting elsewhere.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this?
