How did you obtain these codes?  As far as I know in order to read
the fault codes you need a VAG scan tool or aftermarket equivalent.
I am familiar with VAG-COM, which will give you a textual description
of the fault in addition to the code.

You need a VAG scan tool that knows about the VW/Audi specific stuff,
not a generic OBD reader.
