I would second that, though remember I have never done this, just know a
couple of guys who have.

You will skip over several silly headaches, just getting all the "donor"
CIS stuff in place, you'll have more room, etc.

Go 10v if money is much of an issue and spend it on the things you will
need.  You can make money if buying a running parts car is an option
(selling parts).

But you are definitely starting out right, with a clean tight car to
start with, and keeping track of the folks who have btdt and documented
it.  The cool part is you can skip some of their learning curves and use
what they are using now.
