Ok, I'm happy today folks.  I finally got me a "new" q after much searching=
 so I have to tell you all about it.

It's a dark blue 97 A4 18tq with 72k miles which I got for $7.5k.  Nice car=
 with a nice leather interior.  Got it registered and insured and all that.=
  Next step will be to change all the fluids (oil, transmission etc).  Will=
 also be ordering a Bentley for this soon.  After my wife drove it she quic=
kly decided that I should drive the mini van a while longer while she keeps=
 the Audi.  We'll be discussing that some more though.

I'm pretty happy and I hope the car will keep me happily motoring for a lon=
g while.  Not sure how much I'll work on it myself but I hope that I don't =
have too many problems with it.

Quick question though so I hope you'll indulge.  When I start the car the k=
ey position does not return to I guess the "neutral" position.  Consequence=
 of this is that the beams, indicator or the wipers wont work and the shift=
 display on the dash does not light up.  I have to manually click it back t=
o "neutral" and then things are fine.  Any clues as to how to resolve this?
