Wow... now I have 42k on my car. Warranty covers it until 50k. I know
audi isn't going to replace it before 50k (without failure) so are you
saying that I should replace it at 50,001?
I know I am going to be out of warranty before the 4 yr warranty on the
car. Yes, in 2001 AoA changed the warranty to 4 yrs instead of 3, but
that is useless to me as I always hit the mileage first. I was hoping to
put off the TB change until ~60k .. becasue by ~60k I will have the car
paid off and the first month w/o a car payment, I was planning on doing
the timing belt.
Is your above statement a blanket statement based on mileage alone? Does a
car that gets more mileage in a shorter amount of time (less environmental
affects on the TB itself) have a longer mileage life (closer to 60k)?
I have read Audiworld alot and have seen more failures over 60k than I
have under 60k. Many more people replace their TB at/around 60k...
Thanks.
