Seeking Tips/Assistance R+R'ing Combo Switch, '89 200Q with Trip Computer

You'll need a torx driver (I can't remember which size) to remove the
airbag assemblly from the steering wheel so you can get to the nut holding
the wheel in place.  If you do a Google search of Audifans.com for "airbag
relay" or "airbag power controller" or something like that you may find
directions to disconnecting the power supply to the airbag.  Otherwise, you
should disconnect the battery.

A phillips screwdriver inserted in the hole in the bottom trim piece that
angles toward the center console LOOSENS the screw that holds the switches
assembly to the steering column.  You don't need to remove the screw, just
loosen.  You need to pull the switches assembly off the steering column in
order to get to where you can take the two halves apart on a bench.
