idle troubles with 5KT

Have you checked the to turbo for breaks.
I had a similar problem with my 89 200TQ.
It would not idle and I would have to keep
the idle up or it would die. Would not start
for a few minutes. I had a rip in my Michelin man hose.
Worth a check
