Though not having the V6, the return heater hose on my 4kq decided to go
south on me 40 miles from my home yesterday! I got it a local wrench with
the help of a gallon of coolant I had in the trunk (all my cars have that
just in case)
So I'm miles away from my driveway so I have to pay shop hours. What it
boiled down to was a 16" piece of hose through the firewall, drop the AC to
get to the heater core and since we are there (my call) replace that since
it has 270k and 17 years on it and about $500 later all I can say is 'I hope
it is a heck of a cold winter in Western Worshington'.
Gotta love the car though. First time in years (ever actually) she ever let
me down.
