Type 44 - Favourite locations for CD changer installation?

 Hi gang,

   I'm about to fit the CD changer unit that goes with my new radio/cassette
unit. The car is '88 100 Avant.

  I was just wondering if anyone had any hints as to the best place to put
it! I'm thinking maybe the locker in the left rear of the luggage
compartment, or possibly somewhere in the rear wheel stowage area, or maybe
under a seat.

 I'm also wondering how easy it is to route the cabling, under carpets etc?
