New Exhaust

Well, I picked her up last night. The LOUD drone at 2,500-3,000 is GONE! :) It has a nice LOW rumble, not ricey at all. The exhaust sound is still noticable but only if you are listening for it and know what an exhaust should sound like. To the average driver it would be unnoticable unless you are at WOT, even then the engine is louder than the exhaust. I was thinking I'd loose some performance but I can't notice any change. I'll take pics after work, but they won't be great, my camera is only 640x480...

The wife finally tired of the "glass pack only" system, and frankly it was annoying to me too (it was 2" pipe with oinly a 18" glass pack in the center location for a muffler). It gets REAL loud between 2,500-3,100 RPM. So the CGT is in the shop right now. Getting: 2.25" pipe...18" glasspack...2.25" pipe...Magnaflow rear...single 2.25" angle cut tip. The whole system is aluminized and will be painted high temp flat black except the tip which will be chrome. Resonator & muffler have lifetime warranties, the rest is 2 year. Price? $165 courtesy of Big Al's Mufflers & Brakes. The manager said that if the system is still too loud he'll "make it right" at no cost. Not too bad IMHO.
