Power Window Not

Hi Chris,

You'll probably find that poor ohmic contact in connectors somewhere in the
current chain is the problem. Be sure to check the ground also. Many
window motors have been replaced that were still good. Audi engineers
ignored the fact that every connector pin is a point of failure and put lots
of them in. There is a solvent sold by VW/Audi dealers that's good for
dirty switch and connector contacts. Another possibility is that the window
travel needs to be adjusted so that it will not exceed its useful upper and
lower excursions. If the window is raised or lowered past these points,
sometimes the torque of the motor isn't enough to move it. Check the
contacts, loosen the window mounts, apply power, and the window usually
moves.

HTH.

Cheers!
