hitting fuel cutoff after installing QLCC (cont.)

OK, now I am in a bit deeper... I think the diaphragm got torn somehow. The
diaphragm was all rotten and melted to the little cup that presses against
it. I am going to order another diaphragm and see what that does. (SJM is
out of town till the 13th, anyone know of another good diaphragm source?)

My problem now is that I have attempted to remove the lower spring perch nut
and the whole shaft is spinning. I have been holding the cup with a pair of
pliers and still the shaft spins. Is there a way to remove the top part of
the WG without taking it apart from the two flanges? I apparently need to
get ahold of the other end of the bolt. I notice that there are three small
nuts that seem to hold the top part onto the accordian-looking piece. If I
remove these can I separate the WG and get at that bolt?
