Noisy PS pump on 87 5KCSTQ

All,

The PS pump has always had a 'noise issue'.  I have owned this finely 
engineered beast now for the past 11 months and it has always been loud. The 
noise seems to be about the same but maybe a bit louder these last few days.

Since owning this car I have replaced among other things the steering rack 
(2 months ago).  I didn't replace any of the hoses at the time.  I have also 
been running the Mobil DTE30 fluid (hasn't leaked a single drop) with no 
issues.  For all the nay-sayers out there the Mobil DTE30 is a definite 
improvement over the previous fluid - heavy grade mineral oil from a local 
drug store - no joke - I saw the bottle in the spare tire well.  Anyway, I 
guess my concern is really the noise.  Is a rebuild of the pump something 
that would address and remove the noise?

I *KNOW* somebody out there has experience with this same noise.  
Thoughts???

Yeah, the same guy with the crappy illumination issue...besides, if I didn't 
write in, this list would be too quiet...
