They will help you, but only marginally.
The problem is NOT the bulbs. It is: Poor optics of the DOT mandated
headlight lens PLUS reduced light transmission through the crazed and hazy
plastic lenses PLUS high resistance in the wiring to the headlights via the
overloaded light switch. (Is there anything left?)
If you don't want to spend much money, get the Sylvania ultrabrights AND
relay your headlights.
If you want to see where you are going, bite the bullet and get the
Eurolights - they are expensive, but they are worth EVERY PENNY, especially
if you happen to drive more than 55mph at night. They might just save your
life.

Funny colors are a waste of money, don't help at all, and will attract
tickets like a magnet attracts iron filings.

>Tired of the _lack_ of illumination from my stock headlights,
I went round and round for a YEAR trying to avoid the expense of Eurolights
- I paid $400 for the car and I just didn't want to pay almost that again
just for a set of headlights . . . but it was absolutely, totally,
completely, 1,000% worth it.
Do it - you won't regret it for an instant!
