Cleaning coolant overflow tank

How about CLR -- you probably have heard of it. It's a phosphoric acid-based
scale remover that you can get at most hardware stores. If CLR doesn't clean
it out, buy a new one!

Mercedes-Benz specifies citric acid to clean out cooling system scale. I
doubt you'll get the drama CLR will produce, but it'll probably do the job.
