The "Boing" noise is in the Anti-Lock Braking System?

Hi Folks!
Just to bring you up to speed! My 86 5000 TQ car was running poorly, and
found the driver front axle constant velocity shot. Took it out, and
replaced it. After replacing the axle, on the test drive when I hit the
brakes, the drivers front wheel would make a "Boing" noise, like a large
spring on a screen door unloading. It almost sounds like the axle is
tearing itself apart, or the brake caliper is locking up? I checked all
the suspension and found it tight.
Today I replaced the Bomb (pressure accumulator) with a new unit and went
out again tonight.
I still have the "Bong" noise, usually at 5 MPH or less coming to a
complete stop with the Anti - Lock System on. If I push the button and
turn off the Anti-Lock, it does not make the "Boing" noise when I stop.
My question, is whats going on with the Anti-Lock? Could I have messed
up the wheel sensor? Did the replacement axle have a different count of
notches for the sensor? Does something need to be bled or adjusted? Or
could it be something in the caliper which tore up the previous axle - in
relationship to the Anti-Lock system?
Any advise or assistance would be greatly appreciated! I am new to this
site, and will also try to see if there is something in the archives to
review as well.
Thank you for your time!
