The "Boing" noise is in the Anti-Lock Braking System?

Classic signs of too low a signal to noise ratio; it isn't isn't good
enough for the controller, so it misreads/miscalculates wheel speed
and thinks the wheel's slipping. Two causes- improper position of
the sensor and lots of rust buildup between the teeth.

Clean the teeth on the hub if they're badly rusted (there needs to be
a clear difference between the gap and tooth), remove the sensor,
install a new ablative cap, push in until it touches the hub, drive
the car around the block. The cap is designed to be eaten away by
the teeth and leave the sensor positioned perfectly. I would guess
the sensor was accidentally bumped closer to the hub?

Hope this helps!
