which ur-Q

I mentioned recently that I am starting a search for an ur-Q to use as a 
track car. 

A couple of people on this list wrote to me and gave me some good 
suggestions, and that prompts me to spread the net a little wider with my 
questions.

Do you have any advice as to things like:
	which year you'd recommend?
	are there any standard problems to look for? (I don't know if 
you've heard of "Dave's big b*tt test" for rusty 914s)
	are there typical aftermarket improvements I should consider?
	what kinds of questions would you ask of sellers?

I pretty much fell into my 80Q and it was a peach from the first day, so 
I've never had to do a thorough search for a Quattro.
