Are the type 89's nimble?

Once the suspension is tightened up, and you get some decent rubber on
there, then yeah I'd say they're pretty 'nimble'. My 90q doesn't have a
problem avoiding dogs, cats, and children in the street. For the
suspension I've gone to a Ground Control coil-over kit, with Bilstein
sport shocks. I removed the swaybar from the front, made brackets up and
mounted it in the rear. That coupled with some decent rubber to the road
and the car handles pretty much how I like it. It's quite neutral now, and
at the edge the rear end has a tendency to start getting loose rather than
the plowing you normally get.

Here's a vid from last weekend at an autox in NH:

The turn in is nice and quick, and you can see as I enter the slalom the
rear end wanted to step out a bit, a lil blip of the gas and the car was
back in line w/o any drama, just a lil rubber to the road :). The tires on
the car in that video aren't what I'd consider 'good'. They're Yokohama
Parada Spec-2's and thankfully they're wearing out faster then expected. I
think the next set are going to be some Falken Azenis.

Anyway, to answer your question, from the factory the 90q's aren't the
quickest turning vehicles, but there are certainly options out there to
get it dialed in how you want it.

Later!
