Have you looked at the new Legacy GT 2.5 turbo?
AWD, strong turbo power, rather more Germanic styling (gets better
with each generation) and supposedly (haven't driven myself) rather
decent handling (I DO find my beater/home depot parts getter Legacy
Gen 1 Wagon QUITE entertaining) and (usually) excellent reliabilty
(my inherited from Dad's wasn't maintained well, so it's suffering) may
be worth a look. They've grown up to mid-sized.
