leak proof bomb failure?

Car is a '87 5kcstq w/48 million miles on it. (runs perfectly)

Upon start up after a long sit, say first thing AM, brake pedal is virtually
useless! For about 2 minutes, the brakes are '29 Ford Model A. After that,
pedal pressure and overall brake feel seem normal.

I'm not losing any fluids of any kind, so it's a leakless wonder. But I'm
guessing maybe this is a bad bomb? (no bomb light either) Other ideas?

Boring story: Tues night drove from L.A. in rush hour at 100 deg. F to
Mammoth Lakes in the Sierras, then drove home last night. Car cruised at
80, no noises or squeaks, comfy, great steering...I'm preaching to the choir
here. Mammoth to home (lost o' downhill and tailwind), average mpg was
35.1! On both trips got to watch the meteor showers.
